Salghare, the ritual specialist (nagire nakcho or kubimi) of the Dumi Rai performs a part of the bhume or sakela puja, an agricultural ritual. Clad in his ritual dress he performs ritual movements and gestures in the courtyard of one of the most important households of the village, before departing to the sakela than, the place where the deity for who the ritual is performed dwells.
