Description
The ritual specialist in charge of the bhume offering to the bhume or sakela deitiy at Tuwachung-Jayajum is Jaruman Rai, a Chamling Rai from the nearby village of Aiselukharka. In his function as ritual specialist he wears, amongst other things, a traditional white cotton suit, a white turban with peakock feathers stuck to it, a white cloth belt, and strings with bells crossed over his chest. He holds a ritual spear in his right hand and a bamboo stick with frayed ends in his left. In his belt he has stuck some leaves of the isilim tree.
