Memorial for Tye Angshi Shrijanga (also Te-ongsi Sirijunga Xin Thebe Limbu) who in the 18th century rediscovered and reintroduced an ancient script today known as Limbu script. He taught the alphabet and wrote down traditional knowledge. He was murdered (it is said he was bound to a tree and shot with arrows) in Sikkim because his reform movement was seen as a threat by the rulers, and is therefore regarded a 'martyr' for Kirat culture.
